From exploring the world’s oldest rainforest to navigating hidden laneways, travel is about learning through experience.  Leave your worries behind and embark on an amazing journey of discovery and exploration. You’ll find freedom, independence, and adventure – all while creating lifelong memories. The tourist/visitor visa (Subclass 600) enables the applicant to visit Australia as a tourist, to go on a cruise or to see family and friends. It lets you stay for 3 months or up to 12 months in Australia under certain circumstances, and its cost begins from AUD145, you may be charged extra for health checks, police certificates, and biometrics. You cannot include your family members in this visa application, they may submit a different application.

ELIGIBILITY OF TOURIST VISA APPLICATION:

The applicant must fulfil the required minimum health standards before they can be granted the tourist visa, i.e. they must be free from any disease or medical condition that will be a significant cost to the Australian community in terms of the health care or community services required to manage your condition. The health requirements must be met in order to ensure that the Australian community is protected from certain diseases, especially active tuberculosis, and it also helps the Australian government to control the expenditure on services like social security benefits, allowances and pensions.

The applicant must meet the character requirement, i.e. you must be of sound character, pass the character test, and maintain the sound character. If you have had a substantial criminal record, been convicted of escaping from immigration detention, or convicted for an offence that you committed while you were in immigration detention, have been a part of a criminal group or organisation, have been a sexual offender or have been convicted of a domestic violence offence, then you may not pass the character test.

If the applicant or any family members (including those who don’t apply for the visa with the applicant) owe the Australian Government money, they must have paid it back or arranged to pay it back.

The applicant must have, or have access to, enough money to support themselves while they are in Australia.

The applicant must be a genuine visitor, they must only intend to stay temporarily in Australia, and obey any condition and stay period attached to your visa.
